Their work builds community around good food, helping others connect to their heritage and discover new visions of what food can be. Filmed across New York City’s five boroughs, the series goes beyond recipes to explore identity, belonging, and the deeply human spirit that forms around a shared meal.

Creator, Host & Filmmaker
Liza Mosquito de Guia is a James Beard Award–winning filmmaker and food storyteller based in Brooklyn. Over 15+ years, she has produced hundreds of short documentaries spotlighting chefs, farmers, and artisans across NYC, often filming as a one-woman crew to build trust and intimacy with her subjects.
Her storytelling video work has earned a James Beard Award, five James Beard nominations, Telly Awards, Saveur Award for Best Videos, NYC Food Filmmaker of the Year, and three New York Emmy nominations for Lifestyle Programming. food. curated. has been featured by The New York Times, Bravo TV, Food & Wine, Cosmopolitan, Serious Eats, Eater, HLN, and NY1.
