Time to celebrate a great local food organization!

May 6th, 388 Atlantic Ave., 6:30pm. To celebrate the first anniversary of its founding, Brooklyn Food Coalition is throwing a Brooklyn-based birthday bash. One year ago this May, the wildly successful Brooklyn Food Conference attracted over 3,300 adults and 500 kids, and launched the Brooklyn Food Coalition (BFC).

Three reasons to party with BFC:

1. Author Anna Lappe discussing and signing her latest book, Diet for a Hot Planet: The Climate Crisis at the End of Your Fork and What You Can Do About It

2. Local restaurants providing delicious local foods/drinks & raffle prizes, including Ici, Bark, Six Point, Convivium Osteria, Nana, The V-Spot, Red White & Bubbly, Belleville, The Farm on Adderly.

3. DJ Nickodemus and DJ Sabo spinning from 9:30 PM – 12:00 AM

Food + 1 drink included with $15-50 suggested donation; then cash bar

Please help “green” this event: bring your own plate/cup/cutlery if possible.
