Coming up with recipes are tough enough. But how about having to come up with a recipe with obstacles, or “obstructions”? Totally defeating? NO! This is all in the name of fun.

Come sign up to eat or cook for Not Eating Out In NY’s Third Food Obstructions cook off at Gutter bar in Williamsburg/Greenpoint. Valentine’s Day themed obstructions below. Hope to see you there!

-Cannot contain onions or garlic
-Must contain hearts (of palm, artichokes, celery, an animal, candy hearts… you name it! Just don’t say you simply cooked it “with heart”)
-Must include an ingredient that is red
-Cannot require utensils to eat
-Must include an ingredient that is rumored to be an aphrodisiac
